WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GET A 3D/4D ULTRASOUND?
We recommend to get a 3D/4D Ultrasound around 27 Week -33 Weeks of Pregancy depending on the amount of amniotic fluid you have sometimes you can still get a 3D/4D Ultrasound at 38 week if the baby has good amniotic fluid and space.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DETERMINE GENDER?
At 14 weeks and above is the best time to determine gender.
ARE 3D/4D ULTRASOUNDS SAFE FOR ME AND MY UNBORN CHILD?
Ultrasound technology has been the subject of hundreds of clinical studies over the past 30 years and has not been shown to cause any harm to the mother or unborn baby. 3D/4D Ultrasound both utilize sound waves to look inside the body. The technology is similar to radar. A probe placed on the body emits sound waves into the body, listens for the return echo and generates an image. You can speak with your doctor about the safety of ultrasound.
WHAT FACTORS DETERMINE THE QUALITY OF MY IMAGES?
The most important factor is the position of the baby. Sometimes if the baby is persistently looking face down or towards your spine, it may be difficult to see the baby’s face. Other critical factors are the amount of amniotic fluid (the more the better). It is recommended to increase water consumption 1 to 2 weeks prior to the appointment date. Another factor is placenta position, and the amount of tissue between the probe and the baby. Every baby scans differently. We promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images.
